New York PremiereOscar-winning director Adam Elliot’s claymation feature is a tale of an extraordinary epistolary relationship between Mary Dinkle, a chubby, lonely eight-year-old girl in the suburbs of Melbourne, and Max Horovitz, a 44-year-old, severely obese, Jewish New Yorker with Asperger’s Syndrome. Featuring the voices of Eric Bana, Toni Colette, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Barry “Dame Edna” Humphries.
