Gallery Programs and Special Classes


Gallery Programs & Special Classes at The JM offer artful experiences for toddlers through tweens. Enjoy thematic Family Gallery Tours on Second Sundays, listen to stories and discover works of art on Art Adventure Mondays. Immerse yourself in an art workshop and gallery tour during our Special Gallery Programs, and design a creation inspired by what you see. Bring out your playful side in our Music Classes for toddlers with Music for Aardvarks. In additon, click on our Teen Programs page for more information on our after-school Tween & Teen Art Program related to special exhibitions.

Music for Aardvarks and Other Mammals
Music Classes - Fall 2008

Mondays, September 15th – December 1st
Class A: 9:30 – 10:15am
Class B: 10:30 – 11:15am
Class C: 11:30 – 12:15pm

Wiggle your bodies, sing funky original tunes, create a jam session together – all this and more with Music for Aardvarks and Other Mammals classes. Get ready to groove in one of the hippest music classes around with props, instruments, interactive play, and lots of good energy!

Ages 1-4

Family Level Members: $420.00
Non-Members: $460.00

11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Explore the galleries with stories, sketching, and exciting themes each week. From colorful mosaics to amazing paintings, discover the many treasures of the Museum's collection on this interactive tour experience!

Free with Museum Admission, Ages 4 to 7

Each month, on Second Sundays participants will explore a different theme with a Museum educator. A sketching activity is included.

Special Gallery Programs

Enjoy an in-depth gallery tour and art-making experience on a Sunday morning as a family. Examine art and artifacts on a particular theme and then create a work of art inspired by your gallery experience. These programs are a two hour session held on a Sunday.
