April 11, 2014 - August 3, 2014

The second iteration of The Jewish Museum’s new series Masterpieces & Curiosities focuses on an important photograph in the collection by American photographer Diane Arbus. By showing Arbus’s image and its mesmerizing subject in both historic and metaphorical contexts, this exhibition explores the symbolic implications of gigantism and hopes to elucidate our culture’s pervasive fascination with the extraordinary.
