PANEL DISCUSSION The Saul and Gladys Gwirtzman Lecture Sarah Bernhardt and the Belle Époque The era of the Belle Époque, at the crossroads of the 19th and 20th centuries, was noted for the flourishing of theater, fashion, and the decorative arts throughout Europe. In conjunction with the exhibition, Sarah Bernhardt: The Art of High Drama, this panel will consider the role of the decorative and performing arts in the life and career of Sarah Bernhardt.
