Space at SummerArts is limited. Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in art. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, a slide or photo of an original work of art or an essay (typed, no longer than 500 words, describing the role art plays in their lives) in addition to completing the application by April 30, 1999. Recommendation letters must be in sealed envelopes - one from a teacher familiar with your experience and interest in art, and one from a teacher, community leader or advisor. No prior Jewish educational experience is required. The course fee is $750, which includes all supplies. Scholarships are available and will be awarded on the basis of financial need.
