Where and when do the Drop-in Arts and Crafts happen in the museum?
Every Sunday from 1 – 4 pm, the Drop-in Arts and Crafts program takes
place in the Activity Center from September through May. The Activity Center
for Families is located on the 4th floor just down the hall from the Children’s
Exhibition, Camels and Caravans: Daily Life in Ancient Israel.
What other activities happen on Sundays besides Arts and Crafts?
Storytime at 1:30, Gallery Talk at 2:30 , Sketching in the Galleries at 3:00.
What can my child do when visiting the Children’s Exhibition, Camels and
Caravans: Daily Life in Ancient Israel?
Experience life in Jerusalem in the 1st century CE through the eyes of two
children, Miriam and Simon. View actual artifacts from the ancient world. Play
and interact in various ancient environments, including a home and a marketplace.
Dine with pillows Roman-style, weave on a loom, try on ancient costumes, and
make an artifact to take home. Learn about ancient trade routes and the merchants
who traveled them. See and practice the alphabets most commonly used in ancient
Jerusalem, including Latin, Greek, Aramaic and ancient Hebrew.
What is your stroller policy?
Umbrella strollers are welcome in the Museum galleries. A limited number are
available for loan. The museum may limit strollers in certain galleries.
Where are the restrooms with baby changing tables located?
Baby changing tables are located in the 4th Floor women’s room, and on
the B-level women and men’s rooms.
