This three-session survey is presented in conjunction with Action/Abstraction: Pollock, de Kooning and American Art, 1940–1976, the first major exhibition in 20 years to rethink Abstract Expressionism.
May 6, Session I covers the movement’s origins; May 13, Session II explores the diversity of Abstract Expressionism; May 20, Session III examines artist reactions against the movement.
