Summer Classes at The Jewish Museum
The Jewish Museum is pleased to offer a class for children ages 8 to 11 (entering 3rd through 6th grades) this summer. This class will meet for two weeks—mornings from 9:30 am until noon each day. The class is drop-off. Programming will occur in the Bernard S. Schwartz Art Activity Center and the Museum’s galleries. Family and friends will be invited to view student work on the final day of the class.

StudioSessions: The Art of Painting
Monday, July 27 through Friday, August 7
9:30 am – noon, Ages 8-11

During this two week class, students explore the basic elements of painting. After viewing the special exhibition Reclaimed: Paintings from the Collection of Jacques Goudstikker, participants discuss landscape, still life, and portrait painting and create their own paintings employing a variety of techniques in multiple mediums.

Fee: $400 (family members); $450 (non-members)
