Paint, draw, sculpt or craft a work of art. Please accompany your children in the Bernard S. Schwartz Art Activity Center on the fourth floor during this activity.

Hear the hip rock stylings of Milkshake fronted by Lisa Mathews and Mikel Gehl play tunes from their hit albums, Great Day, PLAY!, Happy Songs and Bottle of Sunshine, along with songs from their repetoire inspired by the adventurous spirit of Curious George in this special summer concert.

Bring your entire family for a fun-filled afternoon in celebration of the exhibition Curious George Saves the Day: The Art of Margaret and H.A. Rey. Join us for a hands-on drop-in art workshop inspired by Curious George Saves the Day as well as a special guest appearance and opportunity to meet Curious George himself!

Art Adventure Mondays
Ages 4 to 7
Children and their adult companions explore the Museum’s galleries with an educator, discovering the many treasures of the collection, from Curious George to our mosaic floor.
July 12 - Tell Me a Story
Families will visit Curious George Saves the Day and Culture and Continuity: The Jewish Journey, the Museum’s permanent exhibition, and discover stories told with images.
July 19 - Shapes and Symbols in Art
Participants will find shapes and symbols in ancient objects and modern works of art.
July 26 - Are We There Yet?
Children and their adult companions will look for different modes of transportation in Curious George Saves the Day.
August 2 - Where am I?
Families will see real and imaginary places in different works of art throughout the Museum.
August 9 - Materials in Art: What Is It Made Of?
Participants will discover unique and unexpected materials used to create art.
August 16 - From Head to Toe: Portraits and Clothing
Participants will hunt for different patterns, textures, and colors in the clothing and hats found on the portrait wall of Culture and Continuity: The Jewish Journey.
