Drawing Connections: Portraiture

Join us for a drawing and study session that takes place in the galleries of Scenes from the Collection while the Museum is closed to the public, and engage with compelling portrait paintings that range from the realistic to the abstract. Participants will explore various methods of mark-making through contour and line drawing, gesture drawing, and short and long studies based on close looking at original works of art.

Course Fee: $30 General; $25 Jewish Museum Members
All materials included; All skill levels welcome.

  • Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that seating is limited; we recommend purchasing tickets in advance.
  • Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive promptly, as seating is not guaranteed once a program has begun.
  • Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • If your ticket was emailed to you, present the ticket on your mobile device or the print-out of your ticket.
  • Tickets purchased for events and programs at the Museum include admission to the galleries on the day of the program during regular Museum hours.
