Premiering on Instagram Stories, Otherly is a series of seven short documentaries on the theme of belonging. The series amplifies perspectives from a group of underexposed creators—women, non-binary, and genderqueer identifying folx.

Using nontraditional techniques—experimental, live action, and animation—the films are produced specifically for Instagram and address universal themes such as love, inclusion, and loss.

Otherly is a co-production between the National Film Board of Canada and POV Spark, marking the first collaboration between the two internationally renowned institutions.

Live virtual Q&A June 10 at 11 am EDT with filmmakers Tristan Angieri, Integrate.Me; Em Yue, Elaine is Almost; and Jackie! Zhou, FaceTime.
